Description
A FINE TUSK CARVED NETSUKE OF THREE QUAILS ON MILLET Japan, 19th century Walrus tusk. H. 3.1 cm. The netsuke is carved as three quails perched on leafy millet, facing in different directions. The eyes are inlaid with brown glass. Signed in a rectangular reserve 'Okatomo'. With traces of age and use, slightly damaged and restored.
