EIN DOUCAI SCHALE MIT DARSTELLUNG VON "HAIWU TIANCHOU"

A DOUCAI 'HAIWU TIANCHOU' DISH China Porcelain. D. 16 cm. The dish is decorated to the interior with a medallion depicting a pair of cranes with tallies in beaks flying to the pavilion rising from the waves below a band of ruyi heads. The exterior is painted with stylized lotus scroll divided by bats and peaches. On the bottom is a mark "Daqing Qianlong Nianzhi". With traces of use, surface abraded, partially chipped and cracked. Provenance: From an old German privat collection.
