A CHINESE EXPORT SILVER STANDING CUP China, 19th/20th century Silver. H. 15.4 cm, 152 g. The cup is supported by a pedestal with a mythical Chinese beast holding the cup legs. The base beneath the beast is carved with cloud patterns, and the connection between the cup legs and the cup itself is adorned with a ring of bat motifs. The area just below the rim of the cup is decorated with a floral pattern. The body of the cup is carved with the word 'Hans'. With traces of use and age.
