THREE TABAKO-IRE AND TWO TONKOTSU Japan, 19th/20th century Leather/bamboo/metal etc.. L. of tabako-ire 12.7-15 cm, H. of tonkotsu ca. 5.3-6 cm. Including two tabako-ire with mixed metal mae-kanagu, a tabako-ire with wooden mae-kanagu and a netsuke in form of boar, a carved bamboo tonkotsu and a coconut tonkotsu. With traces of use, partially damaged. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
