Bui Huu Hung (b. 1957, Hanoi) is a leading contemporary Vietnamese artist, celebrated for blending traditional lacquer techniques with modern sensibilities. His works often depict elegant Vietnamese women or still lifes, enhanced with gold foil to create luminous textures. Hung's art bridges past and present, preserving and redefining the legacy of Vietnamese lacquer painting. Provenance: From a German private collection, acquired in 2006.
