ATTRIBUTED TO AUGUSTIN TERWESTEN 4 May 1649 The Hague - 21 January 1711 Berlin SOLDIER ON HORSEBACK Pencil drawing on buff handmade paper. 21,5 x 18,9 cm (F. 42 x 37 cm). Numbered '107' on the front of the sheet. Verso: Inscribed in pencil: 'Augustin Terwesten (Holland ca. 1675)' as well as various notations and again 'ATervesten' (alloyed). Part. slightly browned, a little bit foxed, old traces of mounting visible at the front. Mounted in a passepartout under glass. Provenance: North German private collection.
