Description
ATTRIBUTED TO BERNARDO BUONTALENTI December 1531 Florence - 6 June 1608 ibid. STUDY OF ORNAMENT AND GROTESQUE Pen and brown ink on chamois-coloured three-part handmade paper mounted on old paper. Visible dimensions: 28.5 x 25 cm, passe-partout dimensions: 48 x 37 cm. Slightly stained, minor creases. Mounted in passe-partout. Extensive collection of grotesque, mascaron and cartouche motifs as well as figurative ornaments, presumably created as a workshop and template sheet for decorative work.
