On the reverse of the canvas of the male portrait: "Jean Du Bosc + at Frankfurt 1766"; on the reverse of the female portrait: "Marie-Anne de Rapin, née at The Hague 19 May 1702, married at Leipzig 1734 to Jean Du Bosc + Frankfurt 1775."
