FRANS VAN EVERBROECK 1632 - after 1672 BUST OF A WOMAN WITH TWO FRUIT GARLANDS IN A STONE CARTOUCHE Oil on canvas (relined). 84 x 69 cm (F. 106 x 91 cm). Part. min. old rest., part. min. old retouching, craquelure, losses of surface paint. Frame. Accompanied by an expert opinion by Dr Sam Segal (Amsterdam), dated 17 October 2003, with a clear attribution to Frans van Everbroeck. Segal writes: "The painting may be compared with several cartouche paintings by van Everbroeck, for example in the Glasgow Art Gallery (inventory no. 51), and with a cartouche painting depicting the Infant Jesus and Saint John in the Alte Pinakothek, Munich (inventory no. 1920/1608)."
